E-visit visits are a type of visit that does not require a face to face encounter with your physician. These visits are available only for patients of Mountain View Family HealthCare who have had at least one prior visit with Dr. Lewis before requesting an E-visit).

An E-visit may be used for specific problems which do not necessarily require your physical presence. Examples of possible topics for E-visits may include questions about immunizations, travel plans, medications, and topics in the news that might concern your health. Clinical issues are generally not appropriate for E-visits, but follow up on a previous office visit or on a single, well controlled chronic problem, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and thyroid replacement can be appropriate topics for E-visits.

The time frame for a response to an E-visit request is typically within 24 hours, but MAY take up to 72 hours on weekends and holidays.

DO NOT utilize E-visits for acute problems, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, acute bleeding issues. Please call the office or 911.

The current charge for an E-visit for existing patients is $20, payable by credit card prior to you accessing the E-visit service. If your issue is not deemed appropriate for an E-visit, my office will contact you to make an appointment. Your online payment will be refunded or credited towards your office visit or phone consultation.
